📍Bateman’s 11.1 mile Loop. This route starts at 📍National Trust Batemans, TN19 7DS. Taking the path to the left of Batemans along a concrete path across the River Dudwell then a right at the Water Mill. Follow the path around the pond to the right and through the muddy footpath. Continue on the path straight, past wooden bridges offering routes to the right, entering into fields with tall bordering tree’s past another wooden bridge crossing. Still continuing straight you will reach fields with a rather steep hill. up the hill, cross over the diving board following the path to the next diving board onto Willingford Lane. Crossing the lane into the farmers fields, along the tractor trails and through the bumpy field. Follow the path through the woodlands and down the hill at the rather random gates. The path follows the stream across a bricked bridge and past cottages where you take a left at the diving board and follow the path around the field. Coming out at North Road, Follow the road North East turning left into Woods Corner. Through the field in the corner is 📍Mad Jack Fullers Sugarloaf. Follow the path back to the gate taking a right along the perimeter of Brightling Park, which is privately owned. Not far along the path atop a hill you can view 📍Mad Jack Fullers Rotunda Temple. The path leads through a small farm yard with cows. Follow the path straight where you will reach 📍 Mad Jack Fullers Tower. Take the path back followed by a right continuing along the path 3 and a half miles back to the parking point.
